True Image 2016 is only backing up about 1/3 of the data on the two drives in my PC
I encountered a problem yesterday after installing a new USB3 card...resolved that problem with help from this forum. Now I have this issue...to resolve yesterday's issue I deleted all previous backups which were entire PC versions with each backup being about 160 GBs of data. I created a new folder on my external hard drive and did an entire PC backup but True Image only backed up 69 GBs of data. I deleted this bacup and tried another entire PC backup and still only backed up 69 DBs of data out of the approximately 160 GBs on the c: and D: drives.
Any heltp to get me back to the full GB data would be greatly appreciated

Have you considered that the default Normal compression used in True Image is rsponsible for what you see? Could be that all your data is there it's just compressed.

Normal compression is about 65-70% of used space.
Have you checked the exclusions that are enabled. The 2015 and 2015 have default items included than prior versions.
You could remove the exclusions and do a new backup and compare your new backup size.

GroverH THank you for the normal compression ratio...Compared to the total amount of used spaced on my drive and the final consolidating of the entire PC backup, I am falling within these compression ranges and I feel much better.
However, I am not seeking this amount of compression with ATI 2016 on my laptop but I am not concerned it appears the program is working but just differently on each computer.

Good deal! Your laptop backup image may also include the hidden recovery partition from the manufacturer. These can be quite a bit larger than the default Windows recovery partitions - on one of my HP laptops the manufactuer recovery patition was nearly 10GB! It has all of the HP bloatware, plut the default system image for restoring back to factory build/settings.

Bobbo_3COX1...as always, thank you for your time and patience...my laptop is a HP (Beats) addition running windows 10, as we have discussed previously, I am less concerned now that my desktop is employing high compression as long as the data is recoverable. I am going to pickup an extra HD and try a full recovery as you suggested...this will be conclusive evidence that I am covered in the event of a system crash!

Perhaps you would want to visually compare the backups. This can be easily done.
GH46. Use "TreeSize Free" to compare 2 partitions sorted by folder size.
