TrueImage.exe has stopped working

Thread needs solution

I have recently reinstalled Windows, and the Acronis app as well. Now I cannot turn the back up on because when I try to set up a backup plan and choose a place to store my backups, the app stops working, and I see the "TrueImage.exe has stopped working" message. The same message I get each time when try to pick Sync tab. Your app became useless, and you expect my to buy a new version as a commercial on your website suggests? Seriously? Such an insatiable avarice.

When you reinstalled your Windows OS, was this a clean install or did you do an in-place upgrade over the top of your old Windows OS?  What version of Windows are you using here?

The same question about ATIH 2016?

If you have previously had ATIH 2016 working on your Windows OS then I would expect that you can get it to work again.

The first step would be to try doing a Repair install of ATIH 2016 - which simply means reinstalling the application over the top of the existing installed program.  You should be using an Administrator level user account and running the installer program as Administrator to ensure that the correct privileges are given.
