Thread needs solution

Hi,

Is it possible to convert VHD backup (win 7) that was taken on CD's to TIB format with Acronis true image 2016?

Thanks!

2016 doesn't offer this conversion, unlike older versions.

Ok Thanks, So what older version offers it? I have Acronis true image home 2011, it can convert VHD, my VHD file are on 2 DVD's, and each time i try it gives me and error "You cannot create file in folder ". Please choose another location" And it does not let me choose another location.

Can you help me with this?

Thanks!!

If your just trying to perform a recovery with those VHD files, some of the older versions can work directly from the VHD files. I never could get the conversion to work in any of the older versions, but I have successfully used True Image to perform recoveries using Windows Image Backup VHD files. See the link above.

Thanks for the tip. I was trying to convert the backup file. I checked the link and tried a recovery, when i select the VHD file on DVD it says that it is not the last disk, there is only 2 disks and it was the last disk.
Is it possible that Acronis true image 2014 or 2015 have a fix for this? If so, is it possible to purchase those older version of Acronis True Image?

Thanks for the help

Did you try to first copy the VHD files to a USB disk?

...why don't Acronis SIMPLY gives that great feature BACK to present True Image, instead..?

It's been a huge loss...

I personally succedeed in restoring a lot of machines with Windows VHD image backups, both directly and after image conversion........

very POWERFUL and useful feature, it's unbelievable it's been taken away.

bring it back.... SOON, please..........

thanks and regards.

Yes i did copy the vhd files on a external HD, but some files have the same name, and i have the same message Something like it is not the last disk. Since i have 2 DVD backup disks, it seems it does not like it.

Thanks
