Why An Incremental Is Large

Thread needs solution

Is there any way to tell why a particular incremental backup is really large? Basically, is there a way to tell what data was backed up in an incremental backup?

Joel, there is no easy method within Acronis True Image to tell why your incremental image is very large but you can try to check why by taking a different approach, assuming that your backup type is a Disks & Partitions backup, not a Files & Folders one.

Mount your incremental backup image to a drive letter using the option given on the right-click menu in Windows Explorer for the .tib file.

Use a tool such as the TreeSize Free program to then check the file & folder sizes in the mounted drive letter and look for one or more which would give the very large difference in size.
