windows 10 Hang-up after cloning a disk to a new SSD disk
I use acronis true image HD 2014 to clone the HD from my laptop under windows 10 to a new SSD disk
the new disk has twice the capacity of the old one and the partiitons have been increased proportionaly
Evrything went fine and I can boot my PC with the new disk and get all Sw working
the problem is that after a few minutes (10 to 15mn) windows hang-up wiht no message. The sw used goes in "does not respond" and no other action respond (ctrl/alt:del, access to task manager, killing the process),.... The only way to og out is a hard stop and re-start the PC
when looking at windows error logs I find several messages like "configuration error in NT task" related to ehPrivJob.exe, mcupdate.exe,..
do you have an idea how to solve the issue ?
Thanks

i cannot start in safe mode. i do not get the option "safe mode"
the option to repair gives an error. ( cannot repair) the other options proposed to re-install windows or to boot from an external device (which i can do with the repair disk but that dosn't help either as i got the same screens with the same options.

Claude, you should be able to just restart the system to return to normal mode after which you should run the msconfig utility which will allow you to change what programs or services get started to try to isolate what is causing this problem.
See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/how-to-open-msconfig-in-windows-10
The Windows log image only shows entries from many days in the past - you may want to just look for entries that relate only to dates / times when you hit this problem (after you installed the SSD).
You can also use a utility program such as CCleaner (from Piriform) which will allow you to clean up Windows Event Logs plus can be used to manage your Startup programs.

Claude,
The problem you have is Windows Media Center Update which is running and then failing which apparently is hanging your system. You have 2 choices here I think.
1. You can find the mcupdate.exe process in Windows Task Manager, right click on it and select disable then after that takes effect right click again and choose restart. This may clear up the problem, if not, you can try to fix it using Windows Troubleshooter to repair it.
2. You can uninstall Windows Media Player from the system, use a registry cleaner to remove any leftover entries, then reinstall Media Player. I am not sure what version of Windows you are using nor what version of Medai Player is installed on your disk but you might find the link below helpful:
