Acronis 2017 Eye Watering SLOW and a sloppy job, one of the worst sofar.

Thread needs solution

After a 1st try of 2017 I  had to go back to my old version, it just did not work properly. I won't elaborate on all the trying, testing, research for solutions, updates and what have you, that I had to go through. I asked for a refund and went back.

Some 4 months later I checked the status of 2017 and was assured that all problems had been resolved, so I purchased 2017 again. After a series of smaller issues (Again I had to download the latest build/update. After installing, it appeared that some of the issues, again, had been delt with. Hence I set out to actually try to make backups.

After again some issues, I came to file & folders backup. My annoyance rose to extreme levels. Making a simple F&F backup of user (me) files (which with the old version I used was 51-55GB and took 3hrs20min, I now had to cancel the same backup after 3hrs when it had only backed up some 13,17GB out of some 55GB total, with still 9hrs36mins to go. An average speed of less 75 MB per MINUTE.

UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE.

After this I checked the 2017 forum pages and was scared sh..less of all the issues listed there.

I request an answer of Acronis and a working solution, if only because I have other things to do than struggle to get some software to function properly. As might be expected when you have been a customer since 2010 and might be expected if you enter into a commercial transaction with a supplier, who is / has been paid for the software. The quality of this product is beyond questionable and amounts to a default of implied minimum quality of a trade.

Robert, sorry but this is a User Forum and therefore you are unlikely to get any official response or answer to your grievances with the company and product via this route.

If you have only recently upgraded / purchased ATIH 2017 then you may qualify for a free upgrade to the latest ATIH 2018 version - see KB 60122: How to upgrade to Acronis True Image 2018 for details.

If you have specific problems that you are seeking help with, then please provide details of what the problem is, what 2017 build you are using, what errors are given etc?

The free upgrade does not work for me, the purchase date is July 18th. Although I installed a couple of weeks later.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate that. The irritation level yesterday just went through the roof. If I encounter more issues I will post on the forum, all other comments will be directed to Acronis in an other way.
