Acronis True Image 2017 vs Acronis "Backup & Recovery 10"
I am tryng to figure out what product is best for me. I have a NAS device with plenty of storage and a Windows 7 Pro Media Center box with 5+ TB of Movies and Music.
I found a forum somewhere with a link recommending Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Workstation http://www.acronis.com/en-us/promo/abr-family/abrw/lockergnome.html . I like the Universal restore option since I use RAID.
Where I'm confused is, while that link seems to allow me to buy the product, it isn't mention anywhere on acronis.com.
Should I be looking at True Image 2017 ? Did it replace B&R and it's the same thing plus more?
Thanks,
Kenny

Ditto to Steve's post. You can also install a free, 30-day trial of Acronis 2017 and take it for a test spin. With the trial, you can only restore using the recovery media, but backups will function in Windows correctly.
FYI, there is a bug in 2017 5554 (latest version) with authenticating to a NAS. There is a hotfixt for it that you'd need to apply after installing the trial version though so that you can properly authenticate to the NAS if you are using ANY mapped drives in Windows. If you are not using mapped drives in Windows, then you should not need the hotfix.
