Backup Protection Option Disabled.

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to version 2017 (5554) two days ago.  The "Backup Protection" section is disabled in the "Options."  If I look at the backup files on my removable drive, the icon has a padlock.   Note: These are partition images.  I did a file and folder backup and it appears to not be locked.  The dialog in the attached image appears to show a password.  I didn't put it there.  If anyone can explain all this to me, I would be grateful.

Once a backup task has been run, I don't believe you can  go in and change the backup protection setting so it becomes locked.  You can ignore the dots there as it appears there is no actual backup password - just a place holder.

The only way you'll be able to add backup encryption (backup password protection), would be to create a new backup task and set that from the start.

Perhaps you're seeing one as locked because it is a previous task that has been run and the other is a new task that has not been run yet? All of my tasks that have been run are all locked in this area, full disk as well as file/folder.
