Cannot find version 1 when trying to restore files

Thread needs solution

I was able to double click on the backup that I wanted to restore a file but in 2017 version apparently that option does not work .  When I try to add a file to recover I get the message Cannot Find Version 1.  I am not sure what is happening but this is the second time a version of Acronis has stopped restoring.

I would recommend as a first step that you run a validation on the backup file.  This should reconcile the backup database and may clear the error.

Agreed.

If any files have been manually moved, renamed, or the original backup drive letter has been changed (not uncommon for Windows to assign a new letter when using early alphabet letters if/when adding flash drives or additional external drives), validation should help as you can point to the file(s) again, or tell it to remove them if manually deleted them.

If validation does not help, you can try clearing the tibmount double click cache as well and reboot.
