Destination folder-Can't see subdirectories

Thread needs solution

My Acronis backup task that I use regularly is set to E drive and a subdirectory. Works fine. However I went to set up a new task and while it will see the E drive, I can not see any sub-directories. I have not been able to find a solution to establishing a back up to a sub-directory. It will just go to the main E drive. Any suggestions? Acronis 2017, Windows 10, Creators update.

Rick, how are you selecting the destination for your backup?

If you select 'Your external drive' then this does not give you a choice of sub-folders, only the root of the drive.  You need to use the bottom, 'Browse' option which will allow you to navigate to the same external drive and then select your sub-folder.

Yes, I am doing that. Can't see the sub directories to select the one I want. I am not at the computer now, but when I browse I don't think I see the external drive either. I will have to check later exactly what I am seeing/not seeing. But on a regular backup, Acronis is saving to the external drive in the subdirectory. The new task won't let me see the same thing for the backup location.

Rick, perhaps if you can post some screen shots once you are back at the computer?

Sounds like gremlins so just keep them nice and dry!
