Error ox1480011 when booting from bootable media

Thread needs solution

I am using ATI 2017, build 8065. I have Universal Restore Meda Builder  (ver.11.5.40028) installed. I am running Windows 11 ver. 23H2, latest build.

My bootable Acronis Media USB, which I used Media Builder referenced above, to create, started having issues, so I decided to create a new bootable media on a fresh flash drive. When I went to boot from it, it gave me and Error Code ox1480011, which of course means nothing to the end user. Could not find any reference to that error code either on this forum nor internet in general. I tried several times to create and boot, with same end result.

I have an older PC running Windows 10 Pro, x64, that has the same versions of the above Acronis software installed ( purchased two licenses). Bootable media created on Windows 10 PC generates same error code on Windows 10 PC. However, when I create a bootable media on the Win 10 PC, it boots fine on the Windows 11 PC. I even went as far as uninstalled and reinstalling ATI 2017 and Media Builder, with the same result. I recently updated Windows 11 to 23H2 (FROM 22H2) so not sure if that is the issue or not. I understand ATI 2017 is not officially supported in Windows 11, but until I have to create new bootable media, I had not had any issues, including creating backups within Windows. ( Obviously I backup bootable drive C: using bootable media).

When creating bootable media, I select ATI 64 bit (only) and enter no other parameters, as I always have. Again, using same method on Win10 PC successfully creates bootable media.

Anyone have an idea what that cryptic code means? For now, the work-around is creating bootable media from on the Win10 PC. Any HELP would be appreciated.

I have attached a screen-shot of the full error message.

Thank you

See KB 62646: Acronis True Image: error "Video mode setup error: Error 0x1400006: Invalid video framebuffer parameters" at computer startup - which may be related to the error you are seeing if you are creating Linux based rescue media.

I would recommend creating Windows PE based rescue media if possible as this should not produce the above error.

See KB 58816: Acronis True Image 2017: Creating Acronis Bootable Media - and KB 59184: Acronis True Image 2017: How to create a WinPE-based bootable media for more information on creating the media.

Hello everyone!

I would say Steve is right (thanks for your precious help, as always, Steve).

Best regards.
