Existing user upgrade pricing
I received the email about the new release and the new subscription pricing. If I click on the upgrade now link I see the same pricing a new customer. There doesn't seem to be any incentive for an exisiting customer to upgrade.

(I didn't see anything in the forum Terms Of Use that prohibited the discussion of pricing, but feel free to delete this post if I'm mistaken)
thomasjk - this is what I see (for 1 & 3 computers):
On the "Upgrade to Acronis True Image 2017" page:
---
1-time purchase, 1-computer = $29.99
1-year subscription, 1-computer = $39.99
1-time purchase, 3-computers = $59.99
1-year subscription, 3-computers = $69.99
After clicking the New Licenses button ...
On the "Buy Acronis True Image 2017" page:
---
1-time purchase, 1-computer = $49.99
1-year subscription, 1-computer = $39.99
1-time purchase, 3-computers = $79.99
1-year subscription, 3-computers = $69.99
The items in bold above indicate that Upgrade and New License pricing for "subscriptions" are identical, or am I missing something?
What I actually need are 2 (or 3) licenses for at least close to what I was offered (via email from Acronis) back in March of this year for ATI version 2016, namely ... $19 total for 1 x Upgrade and 1 x New License (free!). In fairness, that was a few months away from a major new release.
If the Upgrade pricing right now for 1-year subscription, 3-computers were LOWER than if I were buying New (both $69.99), I'd probably order today. In the meantime, I may wait for another juicy coupon ... unless the prices in bold above are incorrect?

Pricing is no secret - it's posted on the website. Those are new license prices, you should also see upgrade pricing which wil be cheaper. Acronis typically cuts prices on the old version just before the upgrade, which actually works out if you get it because there's a 30 day upgrade grace period. Throughout the year, there are generally other coupons, discounts and offers that come via email or other means.

Bottom line for the subcription based pricing the upgrade for exisitng users and new user pricing is identical. Clicking the upgrade now link tkaes you to the same pricing for subscriptions. The exception is a single license purchase is 29.99 vs 49.99 for a new user. Hopefully they will release true upgrade pricing for exisiting users. The 1 year support is an excellent improvement.

I have a feeling the subscription pricing will not change much for users. You're bascially paying for the storage, cloud services, major version upgrades and extended technical support so it's calculated in already. Other subscription models are similar; for instance, there are no upgrade discounts for Adobe Cloud either becuase you're paying the subscription which already includes major version upgrades in that cost.
