Lse, you could give your spare ATIH 2017 license to a friend but you would either need to also give them the serial number (which normally is one for all of the 5 copies) or activate it using your Acronis email account credentials when they install it on their computer.

Lse, you will need to sign in to your Acronis account on the main www.acronis.com web page (or sign in with the Acronis account that has registered the Acronis True Image software), this will show you how many licenses you have and what type of license this is, i.e. a subscription or a perpetual license.
You will need to click on the monitor icon next to the number of licenses and this will open a new page showing the serial number(s) for a perpetual license. No serials are shown if you have a subscription license as you just sign in with the Acronis Account credentials which will activate the subscription for the computer involved.

In the ATIH 2017 GUI - open the Account page and you will see the option there - the account page icon looks like a head and shoulders.
On the main www.acronis.com web page, click on 'My Account' or go directly to https://account.acronis.com/

If you have the license keys, then if you have a separate key your friend can use you may not need to sign in to any Acronis account within the application. If you want to transfer a license key to your friend, then you will need to open a Support Case with Acronis to get help with doing this as we cannot help with account changes etc - we are just users like yourself with no access to the Acronis license system.

See KB 58554: Acronis True Image 2017: "You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number" for how to deal with this latest question, assuming that you have a license that can be moved from another computer?

Hi @ Lse ,
You might have given the wrong License Key to your Friend, for starters.
Also, your Friend needs to create a Acronis User Account for themselves as well. Then you need to transfer the correct License Key to your Friend using Acronis Support.
And, is the key good for one Year or is it a Perpetual License Key? If for one Year, does your Friend expect you to continue to give him, a new Key every year?

Lse, all that was meant was that if you need to transfer your perpetual license key to your friend, then only Acronis Support can do this for you - no one else can do this from these user forums.

Lse, if you have a single perpetual license code for ATIH 2017 for 1 PC that has not been registered to your own Acronis user account, then you should be able to give this to your friend, and he/she can register that license to their own Acronis user account.
If your single perpetual license code has been registered to your own Acronis user account, then only Acronis Support can transfer this to a different user account (for your friend), or you can just give the license code to your friend to enter at the Serial number prompt (assuming that you have not already used / activated this license on a different computer previously).
