Hard to Read Colors
Is it just my monitors or is this new forum extremely hard to read ?
The light colors makes the forum stressful to the eyes. WOW....
Not just stressful but darn difficult to read. Open a topic and see what I mean, then give us your opinion.

It is not the font selection that causes the forum to be very difficult to read.
It is the color of the lettering. A LIGHT grey or black, a Light blue etc makes for very difficult reading.

Steve, thanks for your post on this issue - I am colour blind and find the same difficulty in reading posts in this new forum. I reported this in the private MVP Forum earlier today along with some other observations about the new forum. Unfortunately there seems to be no way for users to change fonts or font colours even when editing new comments for the forum as we had with the previous forum software where we could even highlight text etc.

Well.... I had no idea that you were color blind. That would be tough at times. I would probably have a boat load of traffic tickets...ha
I have seen several sites that have migrated to the light colors... Is this a trend ? Yikes.
Personally, I feel it is a terrible idea and a huge eye strain issue. The super light blacks and super faded blues are terrible. The new forum format... Well, I can get used to that and the back end may be better but the light shades are awful and harmful to our eyes. At my age, I do not need to harm the eyes or anything else for that matter !

Steve, fortunately I am fine with standard traffic lights, signs etc - knowing the sequence of lights helps!
Ekaterina, please could you point the web developers at the following Drupal accessibility information.
Specifying colors and contrast for accessibility
This is written for Drupal 7 but the principle remains true for all versions and web software. The article quotes 1 in 20 people having some form of colour deficiency, but in reality it is 1 in 5 males and 1 in 7 females who are colour challenged in some way.
I have to agree with both Steves' that the color combinations and fonts leave a lot to be desired. I also don't see a way to navigate to only the new posts in a thread. Hopefully this new appearance is a work in progress and will improve with time.

WOW.... How can anyone stand this font color. Not the FONT, it is the COLOR....
The posts are so hard to see and read, I am wondering if it is by design ? Acronis, are you trying to cut down on forum visitors ? We may not like the new design, the new layout etc... But the issue I see is the COLOR.... It is EXTREMELY HARD TO READ.... EYE STRAIN... VERY DIFFICULT TO READ. Come on folks, you cannot really like the new colors....
Forget the new design.... IT IS THE FONT COLORS !

I don't have any serious vision problems, but I have to agree with Steve, that the font colors are way too faint to be easily read. It's really a strain to read the postings. The color of the font is the problem - not the font itself.
Interesting that the forum allows me to bold my entries, which helps readability, but upon posting, it barely darkens more than the normal, invisible mode.

Thanks for your reply. Hard to believe that Acronis has not taken quick action on this issue. I am amazed that more forum visitors haven't stepped up and voiced an opinion... one way or another... If we don't step up and point out that this Color Problem is a REAL annoying issue, Acronis may well dismiss it as not worth the effort to change. Personally, I find the forum ok but the Extremely Hard to Read Colors are really horrible and need to be changed without delay.
It's not because we do not like the new forum format, we simply cannot read the content because of the DIM COLOR !

I agree with what people have been saying. I have no obvious problem with color perception but find the forum index very difficult to read. The "Posted on" and "Last reply" data are nearly unreadable.
The post's content is easier to read than the index, but not by much.
Did people complain about the previous format? I thought it was very readable. The new format discourages use.
Is there a formal way to report this, or do we just hope that Ekaterina is still reading the thread?
Gee! I have to agree. The font color make it very hard to read this forum. I hope it is not a deterrent :-)

The colors are indeed a little hard to read, the fonts are fine. For the choice of colors, I can advise the service , there are many different palettes for different tasks. There are a lot of cool color choices here that will look great on the forum.
