How make a local Sync with a NAS
Hello,
I have upgrade my version of Acronis true Image 2014 to 2017.
And I am deeply disappointed. Because I can not find the possibility to make a backup between my PC and my network hard drive (NAS Synology).
When I go into the meny "Sync" I select the source directory but I do not have the option to choose the destination :

How do I synchronize with my NAS?
Thank you in advance for your assistance,
Regards,
Ptitsnake.

When using ATI with a network drive, use a UNC path to your NAS device for a backup destination, not a typical friendly "mapped" drive. e.g.
\\192.168.2.25\My Backups\
It should also be possible to use a UNC path that includes server name rather than IP, such as
\\server1\My Backups\
ATI will not automatically detect a NAS drive. Once you start typing the destination path (click "Browse", type in the "File name" field), you will be prompted for a username and password. You must use enter the username and password that has permissions to access the NAS share you are saving to.
Many users have issues with NAS, not because of True Image but because the router gets overloaded with data throughput and cannot keep a consistent enough connection with the NAS for True Image to image or restore. Certain models of router and known to suffer from this issue.
A user shared this:
From the "Destination drop down list in the backup dialog box" choose "Browse ..."
In the "Browse for Destination" dialog, enter the UNC path for your drive in the "File name:" input field.
If the "Authentication Settings" dialog does not pop up, click the blue arrow button to the right of the "File name:" input field so it does pop up,
Enter the login info for your share

generally NAS is supported as a storage for Nonstop Backup, but it should be accessible via the SMB protocol.

Thank you for your answers, but the image "Other PC" is not clickable. So I have no possibility of choosing the destination that is the problem.

Please perform a clean install of ATIH 2017 as follows:
First, uninstall any Acronis software that is present normally via the Control Panel > Programs & Features.
Next, download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link in my signature below) and run this as Administrator to cleanup all residual data for Acronis, then restart the computer to complete this cleanup action.
Then do a clean new install of ATIH 2017.
This is as advised in the Acronis True Image 2017 FAQ document shown in the left column of the forum, which states:
If you already have Acronis True Image 2014 or older versions, you need to delete these first and then install Acronis True Image 2017.
