How to name a backup file

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded from TI 2014. I can't see how to name my backup file when creating it.

Stephen,

When you first click on the plus sign (+) next to Add backup (Lower left of the screen...to the right of Help), it brings up a new task.  See picture 1 below.  In the upper left it has an assigned name highlighted.  In picture 1 below the assigned name is "DESKTOP-AUA556C".  While the assigned name is highlighted, you can type in your desired name.

If you forget to type in the name (which I often do) you can hit the down carat to the right of the name...see picture 2 below.  You should type in the new name before running the backup.

It is NOT obvious. Once you have completed the specification of the backup task, make sure you have that task selected, and click on the symbol that looks like a v and you can then rename the task. One thing to watch out, if you rename the task before selecting the disks to be backup, the it will be remaned when you select the disks.
