Installing a new hard drive from an image?
I have some questions about installing an out of the box new hard drive from an image. (Original drive is corrupted or whatever.)
In TI2017 the “exclusions” box is checked by default. It is my understanding I would need to clear that checkmark because I would need those files. I am also using some version of Windows on all my PC’s; so I wouldn’t need to do “sector by sector” or “backup unallocated space”. Is that correct?
The other question I have has to do with automatic cleanup. I had an external drive that had too many backup files and was nearly full. I wanted to keep that backup but clear space, so I tuned on automatic cleanup and told it to delete version chains older than 60days. I then selected “backup now” it just added another increment and didn’t delete anything. Did I do something wrong? Can that feature be enabled after the initial backup?
