No serial # in retail boxed version of True Image 2017

Thread needs solution

Simple, simple question...  Bought a 3-computer licensed retail boxed version of True Image 2017 from Fry's back in late November when they were having a sale with a great rebate offer.

Decided today to install True Image to clone (or backup and recover onto) a new SSD hard drive for my laptop whose old-school hard drive seems about ready to fail.

However, after going through the CD installation procedure (and automatically downloading a more recent version of True Image online), I get to the point of "Enter serial number."  Well, there is NO serial # anywhere I can find - not on the CD sleeve which is the usual place, not on any of the interior surfaces of the retail box, not on the installation CD iteself.

I wouldn't think it was on the UPC label but I can't confirm that since I sent that in with the rebate form months ago.  I thought I made a copy of that but can't locate it just now.

What are my options, and where should that serial # have been??!

Thanks.

BTW, searching through the Acronis help pages here, I see that I need an Activation Key to get my actual Serial #.

However, I still have the same problem - no Activation Key printed anywhere on anything that came in the retail boxed software.

Did I get a dud, or should I be looking elsewhere???

PF, see my reply in your older post https://forum.acronis.com/forum/129141

Thanks, I saw that page but it didn't help.

HOWEVER, I just found my Product Serial # (and feel pretty bad admitting it).  It turns out it was on a white sticker with black type stuck on the front of the little instruction booklet that came in the box.  The sticker blended in so well into the cover page that I didn't even read it but just thought it was more marketing/advertising on the cover so I just went straight to the installation instructions inside.

It was just that I was trying to put stuff away now that I closed the instruction booklet and really noticed for the first time what was on the cover.  I admit it - Operator Error here!  (To my defense though, I have always seen these Product/Activation Key stickers on the paper CD sleeves themselves [and once actually printed on the inside of the flap cover of the box!])

Well, I hope this helps someone else out in the future....

Thanks for your input though, Bruno.

Glad to hear you found it.
