Recover files from a tib file

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I did a complete backup of 3 partitions with True Imgage 2017 build 8058 on computer1.

Now I copied the file (complete partitions.tib) to computer2, were True Imgage 2017 build 8058 is installed too.

How can I revover files or partitions on the computer2 with the True Imgage 2017 build 8058?

Wolfgang

Sounds like computer2 does not have True Image installed?  In this case you would need to use computer1 to open the tib, locate the desired files, then copy and paste to computer2.

You could also using True Image Recovery Media boot computer2, choose Recover Files and folders, navigate to the desired files, then recover the files to compter2,

Wolfgang, in addition to the advice from Enchantech, please be careful about what exactly you are trying to restore or copy to the second computer!

You cannot just copy or restore Windows OS files or folders and expect these to work on the second computer, but you should be fine if you are just copying or restoring user data (files and folders).

You can also create the Acronis bootable Rescue Media on computer 1 and use this to boot into an offline Acronis environment on computer 2 to do restores of files etc.
