Restoring old disk images
Can I use the ATI2017 Rescue disc to restore ATI2013 images, or do I have to erase them and start over?
TIA!

Thanks for your prompt reply :-)
I thought it might be a case of "try it and see", and I guess my thoughts were correct. I'll give it a try on a spare drive ASA I get my order.
Thank you!

Got my disc yesterday, and the short answer is, "Yes, you CAN restore ATI2013 images with ATI2017."
Now for the long answer (how I proved it on my system; YMMV):
First I made an image of my current drive with ATI2017 by booting from the DVD and creating the image on my USB back-up drive (I use three different drives, in rotation).
Then, I put an old drive in my PC, booted from the DVD again, and restored an ATI2013 image from 2 months ago to it. After the restore finished, I rebooted the PC, and all was well- the ATI2013 image restored just fine using the ATI2017 DVD.
Then, as a further test, I booted to the ATI2017 DVD again, and restored the new image I had made earlier in the day. That also worked fine, and the PC booted like nothing had ever happened to it. Big smile on my face; everything works as advertised.
Hopefully I won't have to do any restores any time soon, but at least I know it will work if I have to use an older image. The point will be moot in the next month or so when I will have all ATI2017-created images anyhow.
Thanks again for your time and response :-)
