Acronis 2018 and XP SP2

Thread needs solution

I purchased  5 copies of Acronis 2018 to back up our XP machines. When I went to install the software, the system states that it wont install due to incompatible version. I am running Windows XP SP2.

I asked the tech prior to ordering this software if it will run on XP SP2 and they assured me it would.

I am stuck here and I need help.....anyone?

Mike, welcome to these User Forums.

Not sure who the tech was that you spoke to, but the ATI 2018 User Guide shows the following:

Supported operating systems

Acronis True Image 2018 has been tested on the following operating systems:

  • Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (all editions)
  • Windows 10 Creators Update (all editions)
  • Windows 10 (all editions)
  • Windows 8.1 (all editions)
  • Windows 8 (all editions)
  • >Windows 7 SP1 (all editions)
  • Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) *
  • Windows Home Server 2011

* Limited support. Some features may not work properly. For example, Online Dashboard and Archiving.

The issue here is that you say you are trying to install this on XP SP2 which is not supported.

If you are not able to upgrade to XP SP3 and try installing on that, then you will need to open a Support Case direct with Acronis and request a refund for your ATI 2018 which you should receive if it is within 30 days of purchase.
