Acronis 2018 will not start at all
i installed the 2018 trial download from acronis's website. it installed fine but when i click on the icon to start the program nothing happens. when i look at the task manager i see the app start to load then closes. i went to the windows event logs for application and this is what i found for the trueimage app.

MSVCR120.dll, version: 12.0.40660.0 is part of Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable. It is a driver package. It may be corrupt. You can download the Visual C++ package HERE
Use Control Panel Programs or Apps and Features depending on which OS you have to uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 installation(s) from your computer then install the downloaded package.

did that, and did a clean uninstall of acronis, and then reinstalled it. no change. same issue here is the windows 10 log

The only thing I can suggest is to validate the MD5 checksum of the install file. Here's the MD5 checksum for AcronisTrueImage2018_10640.exe

The attached file contains the MD5 checksums for all of the .exe files and .dll files for ATI 2018 build 10640.

You mentioned Windows 10. What Bit and what Build are you using?
There was problems with the Insider Builds using Acronis.

Acronis True Image 2018 Build 10640 should work in that Build just fine except for reading existing Descriptions. for Backups created using Acronis True Image 2017.
Uninstall it, Restart the computer and clean out the computer, before reinstalling.

did that and still the same issue, i haven't gotten a clue as to why it will not start. heres the windows log again. thanks for all your help everyone.
