auto backup of virtual machine state

Thread solved

Please write me,  if Acronis Trueimage can backup the state of virtual machine, being installed on guest or host systems. I use Windows XP on guest and Windows 10 as host and Virtual box machine.

Alexander, the answer to your question is 'it depends!' which I will explain further.

You can backup any virtual machine as part of a backup of the Windows 10 host computer, using either a Disks & Partitions or as a Files & Folders backup task.  This assumes that either the virtual machine is inactive / shutdown, or else the files comprising the virtual machine can be captured using the Microsoft VSS snapshot feature.

You can install Acronis True Image in your Windows XP virtual machine and create backups using the application in that way.  This assumes you have an accessible destination location for the backups, either using a shared folder between the virtual machine and host, or connecting a backup drive to the VM.  A further assumption is that the versiion / edition of Windows XP is supported to allow installing the version of ATI you have, and that you have a spare license for that installation of ATI (as the VM hardware is different to that of the Win 10 host computer).
