Automatic deletion at wrong place
I have a backup of my PC on a NAS (WDMyCloudMirror). Version chain model.
Due to a problem on the NAS I have by precaution copied all the backups to my PC. Simple copy with explorer.
Since then, backups have always been done on the NAS, but deletions from older versions are done on the PC.
How to explain this unsolicited change.

You might try re-selecting the backup destination to that of your NAS in the GUI Backup view window, that might reset the task accordingly.

Steve and Michel. I had a similar occurrence during my nightly backups. When I updated to the Creators update I created a new folder called CreatorsUpdate and all my backups went to that folder. When I updated to the Fall Creators Update I again created a new folder called FallCreatorsupdate and pointed the same backup task to the new folder. The version chain deletions automatically switched to the older folder in each case and the new version was begun in the new folder. Once the older version chains were deleted then everything continued in the new folder. I my case I make a full backup each night and keep no more than 2 version chains. I was wondering if that would happen when I set up the new backup destination in the new folder. Both folders were on the same physical drive not a separate drive.

Tom, I would expect this behaviour in your case because you are changing the task Destination each time to point to the new folder for the backup files, but the OP in this topic stated up front:
Due to a problem on the NAS I have by precaution copied all the backups to my PC. Simple copy with explorer.
As the copy was done using Explorer with no change to the ATI task / destination, then any deletions for automatic cleanup should still be done on the NAS, not from the local copy.

Michel, thank you the log file data, this clearly shows a confused ATI task:
The following backups have been successfully created:
nas://MYCLOUD/Acronis2017/Medion10-AIF/MEDION10-AIF-Files_inc_b48_s5_v1.tib
Consolidate the backup archive
Location: nas://MYCLOUD/Acronis2017/Medion10-AIF/MEDION10-AIF-Files_inc_b48_s5_v1.tib
Destination: nas://MYCLOUD/Acronis2017/Medion10-AIF/MEDION10-AIF-Fichiers_inc_b48_s5_v1_55157636-EBFF-4441-8DA6-09DB355FD9FF.tib
Error 0x1ef0027: Failed to execute consolidation.
Verify that the C:\zBackup\Acronis2017\Medion10-AIF\ folder has not been deleted or renamed.
The initial messages show that the task has created the backup file on your NAS and then shows the correct target NAS file for the automatic cleanup action.
The next message shows the confusion here with the reference to your local backup folder.
I would recommend trying the suggestion made by Enchantech to reselect the Destination location for this task on your NAS and see if this helps.
If the problem persists, then try doing the following steps.
Use the Clone settings option for your Medion10-AIF task which will create a duplicate task with the name (1) Medion10-AIF.
Verify the Source & Destination settings for the new task then either remove the original task using the Delete > Remove option (leaving the backup files on your NAS).
Run this new task and check the log for any further indication of the same problem.
Note: depending on your settings, it may take time for automatic cleanup to run, i.e. how many incremental files get created before a new full backup is created, and how many version chains you store before deleting the oldest chain.
Please ensure that you use a unique name for the new cloned task so that this does not match any of the local backup files on your C:\zBackup folder.

The suggestion made by Enchantech to reselect the Destination location did not solve the problem.

Try Steve's suggestion.
