Black sceen when booting WinPE TI2018

Thread needs solution

So ive tried this on several computers... and on some older models TI WinPE boots fine everytime. but on others it does boot... but randomly it wont have video. i know it boots because i can use keyboard shortcuts to reboot the machine. the screen is just black... it is not "no signal found" . and this is before and after ive added video drivers. and  yet... if i reboot the machine... theres a chance it will get video on the next time around.  any advice is apreciated. Also , why does the linux media detect local network drives, but winpe does not? should be a standard feature?

Nathan, welcome to these User Forums.

Difficult to advise why your ATIH 2018 WinPE Rescue Media will work correctly on some of your computers but not on others?

Are you actually creating the WinPE Rescue Media by going into the Advanced option of the Rescue Media Builder, or are you creating WinRE Rescue Media which is the default when using the Simple option for the builder?

When using the Rescue Media on other computers, are you also observing the rule to boot that media in the same mode as used by the Windows OS on that computer?
See webpage: Check if your PC uses UEFI or BIOS

There have been issues reported with earlier versions of Rescue Media for computers with multiple video controllers available where it has been necessary to disable one of these in the BIOS temporarily.

yes, i am using the winPE media. these machines only have the integrated GPU as well. This issue is also present in TI2016 .

Nathan, are you using Windows 10 and the Windows 10 ADK to match your Win 10 build?

If you are and are still seeing this problem, then please open a Support Case with Acronis Support.  I doubt that much will happen with regard to ATIH 2016 and this issue, but they should investigate issues for the 2017 and 2018 versions.

You say that all the systems have integrated video; do they all have the same integrated video? Are some AMD and other Intel. I have both AMD and Intel systems with integrated video and do not recall seeing this problem with either ATI 2017 or ATI 2018.

What media type are you using for this?  If you are using USB flash drives try using different ports to connect them.  How long have you waited for the application to launch?  In some cases it seems that a very long time has passed before the application appears on screen.
