Customer Experience Program enabled by default

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded from 2016 to 2018 build 10410 and after the first boot and checking the Settings, it reports that Customer Experience Program is enabled.

When checking the help associated with this feature, you clearly indicate this is a choice that needs to be enabled.  I have never enabled this feature and never will.

You are probably in violation of a number of country's privacy laws by enabling this without user permission.

Do not enable Customer Experience Program by default, only by actual user manually enabling it.  Doing otherwise is at best scummy, and at worse, illegal.

Mike, you are preaching to the converted in these user forums on this subject but you really need to tell this directly to Acronis by raising a Support Case for the issue.

Hello Mike,

I'd like to add, that Acronis doesn't collect any personal information. As far as I know, we totally comply with the international rules around the storage and handling of data like DPA etc. I've also sent this thread to my colleagues in the product management and legal team, they're working on making Acronis Customer Experience Program more flexible and transparent to the Customers.

Thank you,
