Delete backed up information??
I backed up a SSD to True Image, knowing that I would most likely need a complete restore. The machine came back with a new hard drive, al the data was lost. I then tried to restore the drive using my backed up true image file, but all of the files are of no use. The problem is I now have a full SSD with the restored backed up files that are of no use. Can the software go in and surgically "undo" the restored files?
thanks

In reply to B B, welcome to these User… by truwrikodrorow…

I believe it was the Universal Restore Backup I created.
(My reason for backing up was that I was sending a computer back to the manufacture for repair, knowing pretty well they were going to replace the primary drive) They replaced the C and D drives.
I backed up my entire C: drive, and some miscellaneous folders with important data I didn't want to lose.
I restored the folders from the .TIB file to the new drives (C,D) where they were installed before it was sent in for repair. To a fresh installed copy of windows.
Some programs work, some don't. My autodesk products can't obtain a license when I try to open them. I can reinstall, but first, I'd like to cleanly delete all associated files with each program. The programs that were reinstalled with the recovery (autodesk and Adobe) don't show up in add/remove programs, so I guess I need to just delete them manually through explorer.
ATI version
2018, Build 10640 (trial version)
thanks

B B, a couple of further comments here.
Acronis Universal Restore is only needed when moving to different hardware where there is a different CPU, motherboard etc. It is not needed when the only change is disk drives.
You cannot backup and restore applications separately using ATI - see KB 19296: Acronis products cannot be used to transfer applications to different system or upgrade OS
It sounds very likely that this is what you have done, given you have attempted to restore back your AutoDesk application from the Acronis backup to a fresh installed copy of Windows.
The only method of recovering your applications is by recovering the whole drive from a Disk & Partitions backup image, where that image included both the Windows OS and all installed applications and user data etc.
Any deletions of such applications would have to be done manually unless you made a full backup of the Windows OS drive as it was when you got it back after the repair and before you did any recovery.
