Disc image on Lenovo Ideapad with eMMC memory

Thread needs solution

I have just bought a Lenovo Ideapad 64Gb  4Gb ram and eMMC drive.running Windows 10 pro 64bit. upgraded from Windows 10s

I made an Acronis Bootable USB and when booting from it I get the option to load Acronis true image which I chose and then nothing, it just stalls. I have used the bootable USB on my two other laptops and also my tower with no problem. What am I doing wrong.

Chris, welcome to these User Forums.

Which version of Acronis True Image do you have here and which type of Rescue Media have you created?

Hi, Thanks for the welcome. I have 2017 and I am using a USB created using Rufus.

When I boot from the USB I get the 3 options and I chose option one which is Acronis true image. It says please wait loading but nothing happens. I use the stick on my Asus laptop and a Lenovo tower with no problem.

Chris, thanks for the further information.

There is no need to use Rufus to create USB rescue media as this can be created directly within the ATI 2017 application using the Acronis Rescue Media Builder program.

One potential issue here is that you are using the default Linux based rescue media (that would be the case if using an ISO image downloaded from your Acronis account).  The Linux rescue media is unlikely to have device support for your eMMC drive in your Lenovo Ideapad for which you may need to create the alternative Windows PE version of the rescue media, which would require you to install the Windows 10 ADK to provide the PE components.

There could be one further complication here - some tablet type computers can have a hybrid type BIOS where the BIOS uses 32-bit even though you are running a 64-bit OS.

Thanks Steve, it seems we are getting deeper and deeper. I made a disc image using Microsofts Windows 10 programme but I would rather have used Acronis.
