I am tired of your arrogance

Thread needs solution

I have used Acronis for maybe 15 years first in my business, then privately.

Repeatedly you move or drop functions with no regard for your users.

As a programmer I can say with confidence that your corporate arrogance is staggering.

You expect your users to move like tame koi in a school to your latest vision of software - whatever that is.

Businesses are conservative by nature and wary, even suspicious of 'the next new thing.

For one example, have you ever heard of a cloud closing its virtual doors? I have.

For another many companies have spent thousands on tape backup systems that they have complete faith in.

You folks seem to think we all want to be Apple users who just click the pretty icon and assume that all is well.

We are not... I am not.

I like my physical backups and I like to read my logs to manage them.

I am just tired of figuring out your ever reduced interface and trying to track down my logs.

I think I am going to look for a serious enterprise backup system written for grown-ups.

Gary, I can only recommend that you copy your comments above into the Feedback tool provided by Acronis in the Help section of the ATI 2018 GUI application, which will at least get your comments added to their internal systems rather than these public user forums.

There is a new MVP Assistant log viewer tool that has now been made available by Acronis via the Community Tools page..

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
