Installation True Image 2018 Fails
I have recently installed Windows 11 as a clean load and repositioned the Users folder to drive D.
When I try to install Acronis True Image 2018 the installation fails and does anyone have a possible remedy please?

Martin,
What method did you use to move your user folder? I agree with Steve that it is likely Windows 11 is at work with ths behavior. It is likely that any files needed for Acronis TI to work properly must be in the User folder on the System disk which typically is C:. Moving everything to D: likely violates Windows 11 security policy thus any access is blocked which produces the behavior you describe.
You might consider using junction points for the user folders you wish to have on drive D: rather than moving the entire User folder which would hopefully avoid this issue.

Thank you both for your interest in my problem and I had first thought that this may be something to do with being an older version and I contacted Acronis to ask if an upgrade would solve my issue and it seems not.
My reason for having this setup is because I have a SSD drive to boot Windows and in order to preserve its longevity have a HDD drive to store the User folder which is continuously being written to. I achieved this during the Windows installation by entering into Audit Mode and providing an "Unattended Answer File". I did contemplate using Junction points but from what I can gather there are side effects when moving the whole folder and it seems that the "Unattended Answer File" is the preferred method.
That said I have worked out a solution that may be of use to others wanting a similar disk disk setup as me. This involves logging in with the Windows Administrator Account.
1) Open an elevated Command prompt.
2) Run the command:- net user administrator /active:yes
3) Once the command is accepted log out of Windows and login again as administrator which will now be an option. I had to go through some set up formalities which I declined most of the options.
4) Acronis True Image will now load successfully
5) Log out again and login with my normal account and run another elevated command:- net user administrator /active:no to put back windows into its normal setup.
Now I can continue to use Acronis True Image which I have loved and enjoyed for so many years now and I thank you again for your thoughts.

Недавно переустановил (с нуля) Win 11. Теперь не могу установить AcronisTrueImage2018_15560. До этого всё работало без проблем. Что делать?

I recently reinstalled (from scratch) Win 11. Now I can’t install AcronisTrueImage2018_15560. Before this everything worked without problems. What to do?
I would suspect that you may have Windows Memory Integrity feature enabled in Win 11 by default and this will not allow ATI 2018 to be installed due to tib.sys for the Try & Decide feature being installed and conflicting with Memory Integrity.
This is a known issue and only resolved by Acronis in build 40107 or later of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office which now offers a Custom Install option where users can now elect not to install the 'Try&Decide tool' feature (which brings the tib.sys driver to Windows).
For users of older versions of Acronis, see forum topic: Incompatible Driver(s): tib.sys? | Acronis Forum for information on how to circumvent the issue by renaming tib.sys to such as tib.~sys or by removing the associated registry entry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\tib
Note: you may need to do a Safe mode start of Windows to action the above options.
