NVMe to NVMe Raid 0 Migration on X399?

Thread needs solution

Is there a way to migrate from NVMe to an NVMe Raid 0 on X399 without reinstall Window 10?

Lawrence, welcome to these User Forums.

In principle, it should be a case of making a full disk backup of your current NVMe disk to an external backup drive, creating the WinPE version of the bootable Acronis Rescue Media with added RAID drivers, booting from the media after changing over to the RAID drive configuration, then restoring your full disk backup from the external drive to the new RAID drive.

The easiest method of creating the WinPE rescue media with RAID support is by using the MVP Custom ATIPE builder script which can be found via the link to the MVP User Tools and Tutorials in the Useful Links section of the forum pages.

The key points of the above are that the new RAID array must show as a 'single drive' to the ATI Rescue Media, and that the Rescue Media must be booted in the same BIOS mode as is used by your Windows OS.  You can confirm the BIOS mode by running the msinfo32 command in Windows - I would expect this to show UEFI for your system.

Lawrence,

Can you be more specific with your hardware details?  Doing so will get a more detailed instruction.

Lawrence, please can you expand on your statement above?  What exactly have you tried and how have you tried it?  Also, as asked by Enchantech earlier, what are your hardware details here?  We need much more information to be able to better understand this issue and how to try to help you resolve it.

Hello,

I am also an AMD X399 user, and have the same condition to mirage OS to a new created disk array. I will do some experiments for above steps that your guys commented.

I will reporting if I failure in which step.

Thanks,
