Reading files from backup

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have an Acronis True Image 2018 licence installed on a computer.
How is it possible reading files from a backup from another computer?

Stefano, if you have ATI 2018 installed then can access the backup image .TIB file in Windows Explorer on that same computer, you should be able to just double-click on the .TIB file and Explorer will open it and allow you to browse the contents, including being able to copy & paste files or folders if needed.  This is only possible when ATI has been installed and has enabled this Windows shell integration.

Thanks Steve,
yes I have ATI 2018, but I would need to do this on another computer, where I don't want to backup, but only open the tib files, if this is possible without purchasing a second license

You can only use the Windows Shell Integration to view the contents of Acronis .TIB files on the computer where ATIH 2018 is installed - unless you can open Explorer on that computer and look at the .TIB files from your second computer via a network share or mapped drive.

The only other method would be to create the Acronis bootable Rescue Media and use this to open the .tib files after booting into the Acronis recovery application.  There are no third-party / OEM applications that can open these files.
