Restore not working

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to restore backup image using Acronis True Image application on Windows 10 64-bit 1909. When application requests reboot of system, I agree, but after reboot, restore is not starting.

Sergey, when you start a restore from within Windows and Acronis does a restart, it is launching a temporary Linux kernel OS to do the restore and this has limitations on the devices it supports, so may fail if you have any RAID devices or NVMe SSD's etc.

KB 58006: Acronis software: NVMe drives in RAID mode are not detected by Linux-based bootable media and Acronis startup recovery manager

I would recommend creating the Windows PE version of the Acronis Rescue Media as described in the KB documents below.  I would expect this to be more reliable.

Ok, thanks! Of course I can restore system using bootable media. And yes - I have NVMe SSD, there's nothing special about it. And I would like to restore from within Windows just because I purchased the software and want to use its features. What are the advantages in this case compared to Windows Backup for example? I started using acronis more than 15 years ago when it was a great program. But over the past few years, I have seen a steady decline in the quality of the program. In addition, there are many competitors offering the same thing for free. I decided to abandon Acronis and use other software. In my case, this is AOMEI Backupper. This software has the same features and it can restore from within Windows
