startup recovery manager does not work
hello
I have the problem that the startup recovery manger (F11) does not work on my dell xps 9230
The version on Acronis 2017 works well.
On 2018 i get the blue background and in the botton right the network and language icons and then it does nothing.
Same with the linux boot medium. Windows boot medium works but the linux version does not work. It boots to the blue background screen and that was it.
anyone else?

thanks Steve, for answere
I have the latest build of Acronis True Image 2018 installed.
I will open a support case maybe we can solve the problem with the Linux kernel OS.
Will there any start parameter exist for the kernel i can try out?
btw it is a Dell XPS 9530 not a 9230, my fault :D

Martin, I am not aware of any kernel parameters that can be used that would make a difference here. I hope that you get a quick response and resolution from your open Support Case, please let us know the outcome of this.

ok because i got no answere from Acronis Support Desk for now i tied some things to get the ASRM to work. I thought i have a premium account. However:
I have found a solution or workaround.
You have to type F11 twice or F11 and an other key
The boot manager of ASRM then schows a comand line
Type vga=ask direct behind "quite" and press enter (do not delete "quite" because Acronis won't start without)
Now you can start Acronis True Image
When you do so you get an other comand line with graphic modes listet
choos the graphic mode which is the best for your monitor and press enter
so i get the ASRM desktop and can play around.
I hope my english is not too bad
Because of this workaround i think the linux kernel cannot initialize the correct graphic mode for my high resolution display.
"vga=ask" solves the problem

Martin, thanks for posting your update with how you have dealt with the issue with the graphic mode, glad you have found a work-around that works for you.
