TI not starting and other problems
TI is stuck on the "Applying User Settings" screen after some problems a few days ago. At that time the backup failed because the disk was full. I changed the scheme to save fewer backups but I imagine it needs to create a successful backup first which it can not do. Since TI no longer has tools that allow you to manage individual backups the only way for me to free up some space was to attempt to remove some older backups. I started getting script errors and TI would not let me remove any backups anyway because of Active Protection.
Today I am stuck with TI not starting but Acronis Active protection still preventing me from removing any files from the backup disk as well as a backup I disk I just connected but no longer in use from another computer. Is there any way to fix this or do I need to re-install Acronis? Also How the hell do I clean up a disk that's full.

Thanks Steve, I'll give it a try.
Edit: No external devices connected and still stuck loading preferences. Looks like I need to reinstall TI unless you have any other suggestions. When TI works it's great. When something goes wrong it's a nightmare.
