When I reboot from my rescure media boot usb-stick I can´t found my synology NAS
Hi folks,
my system is a Win 7 64 Bit and I´ve write my backups on my synology nas server.
But when I start to test the worst case an boot up from my rescure usb stick (build with the function rescure media builder) I realized that this will work fine only with local drives (SATA or USB).
Please can you help me that I can use my 24 TB of my NAS Storage ?
Thanx a lot
Steve

Hi Steve,
thanx for your warm welcome. I´ve created a USB-Stick (32MB FAT-FS) and used the first method method in the menue ("the best form for your computer" or something like that (I can not get the exact text out of my head) ).
I use the newest version of ATI (2018 ?).
What do you mean with "How do you connect your network to your synology NAS" ?
I´ve created some Netdrives in Windows and use "My NAS-Connections" in ATI. Thats works fine for backup and recovery in the normal mode (I´ve start this from my running System). But only when I´ll boot from the USB-Stick there will not find any connection (neither NAS-Connection nor FTP).
The link is great. I'll try the version with the Bonjour. Thank you. I'll let you know if it worked. But I'm afraid that no network driver will be installed when the medium is generated. And I do not know which of the many drivers on my Windows 7 would be the right one.
Bye
Steve

Steve, the rescue media only includes device support for cabled network cards, not for wireless network adapters. Providing you are using a wired network connection, then you should be able to trigger discovery of your Synology NAS by typing in either the IP address or the UNC name for the NAS in the address bar, i.e. //192.168.0.29/ or //MySynologyNAS/ - this should then prompt for your NAS credentials.
