Acronis active protection new layout

Thread needs solution

I have just installed Acronis 2019 this week (14 Oct 2018). I wish to have Calibre white listed and yet all the help appears to be old active protection details, there is no ADD for a start. All I can see is the following via the protection pages.

Active protection settings.

Manage exclusions.

Exclude folder or exclude mask.

If exclude folder is selected, then you are only able to input C:\Calibre, you cannot input anything else.

That did not work, so tried exclude mask and input C:\Program Files (x86)\Calibre2\calibre.exe, this was accepted and on going back to the protection page, under activity, found it had been listed.

However, Calibre was still blocked out until I switched off active protection.

So what if anything am I doing incorrectly.

David, welcome to these User Forums.

Calibre was still blocked out until I switched off active protection.

I have Calibre 3.33.1 64-bit installed on my Windows 10 system with ATI 2019 and AAP active with no issues preventing it from working normally, and no need to whitelist Calibre for AAP.

Please check that you are running the latest version of Calibre and using the latest build for ATI 2019 #14110

Steve, Yes I had the latest build and could not resolve this no matter what I tried, so finally uninstalled Acronis and Calibre.

Reinstalled Calibre and this worked perfectly. Then re-installed Acronis with build 14110 and this time Calbre worked OK.

Why Acronis did not accept the white listing I have no idea and the only reason that I can see that it blocked Calibre, was

because I was moving various ebooks between my five drives and I presume Acronis thought it was ransomware.

Anyway all sorted now, just frustrating at the time.

David, thanks for the update - seems a very odd issue but glad it is now resolved via your actions.
