Backup Performance Degredation After Windows 10 October 2018 Update
I've had some pretty serious performance degredation after upgrading my computer to the October 2018 update.
Previously my full-PC backup would run at ~600Mbps across local network to my NAS, it's now running at 90-140Mbps. This basically increased a full backup time from 5 hours to well over 24.
Neither my SSD drive on my local machine, or the RAID array on the synology NAS report abnormal usage (the NAS is usually the limiter and it's not even reaching 30% usage).
I am also able to manually copy a large file from my computer to the NAS and achieve regular speeds as well (at 400-500Mbps) so it doesn't appear to be a problem outside Acronis True Image that I can reproduce.

Please check your backup task Options > Advanced > Performance settings.
Beyond the above, I can only suggest trying the backup again after doing a system restart to see if things return to how you expect for transfer speeds.

I tried changing priority to normal before the last backup ran, no change. It was already at maximum upload speed.
I may try using no-snapshot setting rather than VSS to see if that has any effect once my other backup finishes since the other backup has been blocked for two days.

Joshua, the snapshot method shouldn't make a difference here as this is really just how the data is packaged on the local computer before being handed off to the network adapter for transfer.
One thought here is that perhaps your network adapter device driver has changed with the Windows Update or settings associated with the adapter have changed? Check with your computer maker or network card support site for the latest device drivers?

Not using a snapshot will not change your outcome.
This 2018 update you mention, is that the update to True Image to version 14110 or are you talking about the latest Windows update to version 1809?

The Windows update to version 1809 has been reported by many to cause issue with data loss and reportedly has caused Task Manager to malfunction in Windows itself. It could be that the update is at cause of this issue as well.

I have noticed indications of a similar issue with my AMD Ryzen system. Will investigate and report back.
