Can;t figure out how to retrieve file from older backup

Thread solved

I have done this in the past but can't figure it out now. I need to locate a few files in a backup from a couple of months ago. When I click on Restore, I get only the current backup showing. Somehow I used to be able to navigate to the older backup version and then navigate to the specific folder and files. I appreciate your assistance.

What type of backup are you attempting to recover from: disks + partitions, Files and +Folders, or non-stop-backup? Are you attempting to recover using the recovery media or using ATI 2019 Windows application? Or did you just double click on the backup in Explorer or you preferred file manage?

I have not used ATI 2019 for a long time; there should be a dropdown list of the available backup versions.

See KB 61620: Acronis True Image 2019: how to restore files from a backup (Windows) for different methods of trying to recover your personal files from your available backup files.

Thank you both. I am trying to get to files and folders, not continuous backup.

Steve, I have a problem with your instructions: When I follow steps one and two, Acronis opens a file explorer-type structure as shown, but it shows only my C drive; my backups are on a connected external drive, which is showing in File Explorer but not in Acronis. The external drive is the location I always use, and it has an assigned drive letter.

Philip, did you try opening the backup .tib file directly in Explorer by double-clicking on it then just using Copy & Paste to grab any files / folders you want?

Thanks, Steve, I guess that's all I needed to do. I must be losing it.
