Cloning to a HDD or SDD in an external USB 3.0 to SATA drive dock.
Can Acronis True Image be sued to clone an internal drive to another HDD or SDD that is in an external drive dock connected to the computer via USB 3.0 or USB 2.0?

As with all cloning operations, it is strongly recommended to have a full disk backup of the source drive before going ahead - this is your safety net in case of mistakes or something going awry! Also you must understand that cloning will wipe the target drive as the first action of the process, so do not have any data on that drive that you want to keep!
Ditto to this!
Also, keep in mind that a cloned Windows OS will never boot from USB. You would still need to remove it from the enclosure, remove the original drive, connect the cloned drive to the same port on the motherboard where the original was just at, check the bios to make sure the cloned disk still has 1st boot priority and then attempt to boot it up.
