Confusing display

Thread needs solution

The ATI display (when backing up) is a bit confusing. Notice where it makes it look like it is backing up from "eddys-I7472_190527...". Well that is the name of a previous backup. If I click on Change The Source, that shows that it is backup from CT2000MX500SSD1 drive C (which is correct).

Then when I click on backup now it makes it look like it is backing up from "...190527..." (notice the direction of the arrow) but that is actually an old backup and you don't backup from a backup->a backup.

Also it shows that it is backing up to eddy-i14 (L:\Acronis backups\Dad\eddys-i14) which is OK but it would be nice if it shows the file name also.

Finally ATI doesn't give me a way to name the destination file.

Eddy, the only reason it looks confusing is because you have used the option to 'Add an existing backup file' therefore the backup task name is the name of the file you have added "eddys-I7472_190527_original_full_b1_s1_v1.tib" - where you have the option to rename this after adding the task but you have left it as it is.

The task name does not reflect the source data for the backup task unless you name it to do so.

The destination information is only able to display a limited number of characters including the path to the file location, i.e. L:\Acronis backups\Dad\eddys-i14\....  so if you want to see more, then you need to either shorten the path or else enlarge the ATI application GUI panel / use a larger monitor.

The destination tib takes its name from the backup task name but only for any new backups that are created unless this is the first time the task is run.
