Defective software steals our time

Thread needs solution

Hello, I just wanted to use Arconis True Image again, I'm afraid of what's going wrong this time. First I got annoyed with the message that the key is invalid, the hardware has changed. This was not the case, only a new NVidia driver was installed. I was able to solve the problem. Then I wanted to create an archive on my NAS. I couldn't do that because Arconis True Image has problems logging in. (In Explorer, the NAS is permanently logged in without any problems). The first step is to log on. Then I want to select a subfolder. The login dialog appears again. But this time the login fails with the same data. I repeat this a few times, then I give up annoyed. Contact the support. After a few minutes of waiting and time-consuming polite phrases, the support tells me: I'm not responsible and also the support has expired for you. Please update to new version. My conclusion: This software including the support, including the whole design is a nuisance from start to finish. I'm fed up. Never again Arconis.

If you want to tell Acronis how you feel, then please use the Feedback tool provided in the ATI GUI Help section.

If you want some help in resolving issues you are seeing in using ATI 2019, then the other users here in the forum will try to help you but will need more information.  We are not privy to any conversations you have had with Acronis support.

One point regarding access to your NAS, there are restrictions imposed by Microsoft regarding the number of connections that are allowed which means that if your 'permanent connection from Explorer' uses different credentials to those used by Acronis, only one can get access.

See KB 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials - which is still relevant to later versions of ATI.

In terms of support - Acronis gives up to 1 full year of support plus 30 days after the next version is released.  This is significantly better that the 30-days from purchase or activation that was given for older versions of ATI.  ATI 2020 was released on August 20th 2019 hence the previous ATI 2019 version because unsupported 30 days later.
