Entire PC Backup Question

Thread needs solution

Hi guys, I was wondering if the "Backup Entire PC" option backs up multiple internet SSD's or HDD's that aren't the boot drive?

For example, I have a drive C: and drive G: that I need to backup and was wondering if that option would cover them. I already clicked the option and it won't let me quit the backup now.

I know there is a Disk and Partitions option but I don't know if that will save my OS and all the system files that way.

The "Entire PC" backs up all "fixed" drives, those attached by SATA on M.2 connector for example.

Disks and Partitions is ideal for backing up system disk. I have all my data on other physical drives, and they are backed up separately on an appropriate schedule. The disk with OS on it only has OS and various imprtant hidden partitions such as the UEFI and recovery partitions.

Hope this helps. I suggest you download the user manual as it gives a comprehensive discoussion of the various types of backups.

I'd recommend backing up each physical drive with it's its own task using a disk and partitions backup and selecting the entire disk. It is much easier and more convenient when it comes time to restore if/when you only have to deal with the one disk that is involved in a particular backup. Plus, you can vary your backup scheme and/or schedule, depending on the type of disk (or data on it). For instance, I backup my OS drive daily. However, my music, video and photos drive(s) is/are only backed up weekly because the changes are infrequent and backing up daily wouldn't benefit much.
