Error: in ATI2019 optional settings are overwritten/lost when re-opening them

Thread needs solution

I experienced this problem in several installations of ATI2019 on Windows 10 over the past few months:

In a fresh installation of ATI2019 latest version in Windows 10, I set up a new backup task. Then I saved it and quit ATI2019. When I restart it ATI2019 overwrites/resets the optional settings and I have to set up everything again. Backup Target and network credentials remain unchanged. No difference when I de-activate active protection.

In my despair, I write protected the script file. Then optional settings are not overwritten. But then when starting the task only an error message appears.

What can I do so that I can rely on the settings not getting lost?

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Florian, what actual settings are being lost for your ATI 2019 tasks here?

If the backup scheme is being defaulted back Incremental with no automatic cleanup, and all Email Notification settings are lost, then this is a known issue being reported by lots of users that looks to have started around October 22nd and affects multiple different versions of ATI from 2017 to 2020 that I know of so far.

Please see topic True Image 2020 -Backup option settings loss - where Acronis are asking affected users to submit Feedback including an Acronis System Report and reference to that forum topic to enable better investigation of this issue.
