Image of virtual disk

Thread needs solution

I am using a program that is creating a hidden virtual disk on my system drive C.

In Acronis I am backing up the whole system (system Image).

Is this a good idea or will there be problems in case of restoring the System image because of the virtual disk?

You should test it to find out for sure.  In my opinion this should not be a problem.  True Image should backup this hidden virtual disk along with everything else on the drive sans the items in the exclusion list however, to be 100% positive, test it out.

Create a full disk backup, restore that backup to a spare disk, remove the original C: disk from the computer and replace it with the restored spare disk and see if it will boot.  Once booted see if the virtual disk will boot.  If it does then you know for certain it works.

I have tried to do so.

t is only possible to restore one: the system or the virtual drive.

Because the virtual drive is created by a Software it will be recreated automaticly.

Critical: I have created the Survival Kit but Acronis was not able to boot from external usb-Drive!

(Acronis loader will be starting… - but nothing is happening!)
