Impossible to rcovery any data from local backups if the Subscription has expired

Thread needs solution

I already have few LOCAL backups but my Subscription has expired and when I run ATIH2019 I see following message:
"Acronis True Image Subscription has expired.
You can only recover your data.".

But how I can recover my data from LOCAL backups if there no way to open backup\restore section in ATIH2019 or this message means that I can recover data from cloud server only?

I have never been in the same position as I normally only buy the perpetual license product versions of ATI though I currently have a subscription license by virtue of being an MVP.

You should still be able to recover your local backups after the subscription has expired but you will need to use the Acronis Rescue Media when doing so.

See KB 2768: Trial version limitations of Acronis products - where this situation is described.

Table of trial limitations of Acronis products

Trial Type Trial Period Number of Agents Trial Serial Number Functionality in Windows/Mac Functionality in Linux Functionality from Bootable Media
Home / Home Office
Acronis True Image 2019 (Windows) Trial 30 days NA NA

Clone disk is disabled

Acronis Cloud Trial Subscription - 30 days

NA You can only recover (restore) a backup when booted from Acronis Bootable Media, other options are disabled. Acronis Universal Restore is not available."

I see. Anyway there still smth wrong with limitations in ATIH after the subscription has expired. See new thread. :)

See KB 61593: Acronis True Image 2019 licensing - which states:

After your Acronis True Image subscription expires, all product functionality will be blocked until further subscription renewal, however, the backed up data is still accessible:

  • For 5 days after subscription expires you can continue making backups to Acronis Cloud storage.
  • During 30 days after subscription expires you can restore data from Cloud Storage. Thirty days after subscription expiration the data in Acronis Cloud storage is destroyed.
  • Local backups remain available for restore.

Hi @ stanisluv  ,

You ran into the problem, because you upgraded over top an existing installation.

You needed to uninstall Beta program, then upgrade to the New Acronis True Image 2019.

What I did, was to uninstall Beta version. Restarted the computer.

Used File Explorer and remove the Acronis Folder located in Program Data folder. Ran Glary Utilities and CCleaner Free.

Installed Acronis True Image 2019 in Trial Mode, since I did not have a Product Key to Enter, yet. Which is suppose to be coming next Week.

In the Email, dated Aug. 21,2018 announcing that the Beta Program is closed, it states:

"

Please note that your Beta test license key will soon be deactivated. As with all Beta programs, we recommend uninstalling all versions of the Beta software from any computers or devices before installing the final release of the product.

"

Hi @ stanisluv  ,

Did you do a Clean Install of Acronis True Image 2019 or installed it on top of an existing product?

Steve Smith,

For 5 days after subscription expires you can continue making backups to Acronis Cloud storage. -It could be only if ATIH2019 can do such backups in automode because there no GUI to do them manually.

thecreator, It` nevermind because I had active subscription and ATIH2019 detected it but then when subscription has expired ATIH2019 just leave me only few options.
