MacBook Pro to MacBook Pro 1:1 Clone, does not clone anything

Thread needs solution

Hey guys, I have bought Acronis True Image 2019 for 5 users, and wanted to clone my MacBook Pro 13" 2018 to my MacBook Pro 15" 2017, so far entered the 2017 Model into Target Disk Mode with a ThunderBolt USB 3 cable.

Then selected the 2018 Model and startet as destination the 2017 Model, then it asks me to format the disc, which I accepted, it should take around 1min it says, 15min laters still running and nothing changes, 45min and nothing changes...

WHY does it not work? there is no statusbar etc that's shows me information about the cloning process!

PS:  Both Macs had / have the newest Mojave Update installed... now my older model the SSD Disk is formate and now???

I want to clone the complete 2018 SSD with BootCamp etc on to my MBP 2017, that's why I bought Acronis.. need help asap!

Chris, welcome to these User Forums.

If I understand your description above of what you are trying to do, you are trying to clone a drive in computer 1 to a drive in computer 2?  Is this correct?

Cloning between 2 computers is unique to ATI for Mac and is not something I have come across before this post, given I am a Windows user and don't own a Mac.

Please see the ATI 2019 for Mac User Guide: Connecting two Macs - which has a description of the steps needed to do this type of clone operation.

Beyond the above, I can only suggest to either ask in the dedicated Acronis True Image for Mac Forum or else open a Support Case direct with Acronis for help with this task.
