trueimage_starter.exe executes, but does not load

Thread needs solution

Greetings all!

I am running Acronis True Image on a Dell XPS 1702X laptop running X64 Win 7 Pro.

I successfully created a DVD rescue media choosing the default linux based option.

When I tested the DVD it worked it's way through to the command prompt screen. When it executed the command to start trueimage_starter.exe, it appeared to complete successfully (I.E. the cursor went to the prompt without an error message).  However, nothing happens thereafter. Presumably, it should load the GUI screen offering the restore options).

I would be very grateful for any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue.  Thanks in advance.

Alex Craig

**** Update ****

I was able to create a DVD that successfully booted into the recovery module using the Win 7 AIK option in the advanced area.

Alex, welcome to these public User Forums.

With ATI 2019 there are 3 different types of Acronis Rescue Media that you can create and which may work slightly differently depending on the system where they are used.

See KB 61632: Acronis True Image 2019: how to create bootable media - for details of the media options.

The other factor that is important with using the Rescue Media is the BIOS boot mode used, which should always match how Windows boots.
