Acronis 2020 Windows boot media with 4K monitor
This has been documented for years on various forums including Reddit. When I boot the Acronis Windows Recovery media on my 4K monitor the interface is basically unusable. The menu bars are collapsed nothing is scaled properly. This has been an issue since TIH 2014 and I would have assumed that Acronis would have a fix by now. Does anyone have information on how to workaround this issue? Thank you.

Peter, the newest version of the MVP Assistant (2.7.4) has a built in app called SetMon in which you can set the resolution and scaling. Best thing to do is create rescue media (with Display drivers in stalled) and the Set Monitor Button Utility. You can run SetMon to experiment with what resolution and scaling works best. Once that is determined, you can use the Set Monitor on Boot utility to always boot to that setting.
Also, ACPHO has the ability to change the fonts through the Network/Appearance menu and dialog. It's not easy to find but it's there. You can use the Maintain Acronis Settings app in the MVP Assistant builder to save the font settings so you can always boot with that.
I'm sure Enchantech will chime in here before long. I know he's done a lot of experimenting with 4K monitor and the MVP Assistant with ACPHO.

Hi Peter,
As Bruno says I have done literally hours upon hours of testing with 4K monitors, WinPE/RE, and ACPHO/True Image.
Can you provide specifics of your monitor? Screen size, resolution you use normally in regular Windows and scaling factor applied? These will help immensely.
The new version 2.7.4 of the MVP Assistant utility is the ONLY builder that I know of that can fix the unusable window of the Acronis app in the rescue media.
You MUST add and install the display driver that you use with your monitor
You MUST use the SetMon app developed by the Bruno and the MVP testers to set a resolution that will render an acceptable size app window for Acronis.
In my testing I use 27 inch 4K UHD Viewsonic Professional displays. My findings are that I set a resolution of 2560 x 1440 at 100% scaling the Acronis app window is usable with clean readable crisp text. Dependent on your monitor you may need to try something different but in general starting at a 2K native resolution is a realistic place to be.
