Acronis time out

Thread needs solution

"A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the AcronisActiveProtectionService service"

Event viewer constantly shows this message after boot up. Acronis 2020 works fine but does anyone how why this is happening and how to solve it?  

I would have thought Acronis might be interested but they offer no help for this version

John, welcome to these public User Forums.

I cannot recollect seeing any other users reporting the issue described here.  That may simply be that no-one has been digging into the event viewer looking for issues or that it is limited to a very small number of users.

Acronis Support would only be interested if you could demonstrate that the same issue occurs when using their latest / current application (ACPHO) which superseded ATI 2020 & 2021.

My initial recommendation would be to try doing a Repair Install as per KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - then ensuring that you have turned off all Acronis Protection features via the Protection panel in the ATI GUI.
